Moreover, is the openMHA free for the price? Should a company pay any license fee for using openMHA on its device?

Hi fam,
the use of openMHA under the AGPL-3.0 is possible for a company, but of course with all consequences implied by this open-source license. In particular, the complete source code of work that incorporates openMHA must be made available under the same license. Please see the license text for details.
I'm not aware of anyone who ported openMHA to a microcontroller.
